3 Step Guide to Awesome White Background Product Photography

by admin

Introduction

Product Photography Backdrop is a great way to showcase your brand and products. It’s also great to show off what you’ve got in your studio. But sometimes it can get tricky when you’re trying to shoot on a white background. That’s why I’ve created this 3 step guide that will help you come up with an awesome set-up for creating those classic white backgrounds!

Step 1 | Think About the Lighting

When you’re deciding on a background, the lighting is probably the most important part of your photo. It can make or break a shot and there are ways to use it to your advantage.

Here are some tips for using great white backgrounds in your product photography:

Use natural light sources like windows or skylights as backdrops instead of artificial ones like strobes or studio lights. Natural sunlight is much more flattering than artificial light sources like fluorescent bulbs because they reflect off surfaces differently depending on their angle and intensity; this gives the viewer depth perception that isn’t possible with fluorescent lighting (which tends to look flat).

Try different arrangements until you find one that works best for you! If an area has too much contrast between foreground objects vs background ones then try moving them closer together so there’s more space between them; if there’s too little contrast then bring those two closer together too!

Step 2 | Choose Your Location

The next step in creating beautiful white background product photography is location. You need to choose a place that’s clean and clutter-free, has good natural light, and is well-lit.

The best thing about choosing a location for your shoot is that you can get creative with it! You might want to use an empty warehouse space or maybe even set up some props around the room so it feels like there is more going on than just your product sitting on top of the table (which will give you more options).

If possible try finding somewhere with good natural lighting as this helps create an atmosphere around your photo that makes people feel comfortable when they look at it later on their computer screen or phone screen at home or work which means they might like what they see enough buy buying said product themselves – which brings us back full circle back around again!

Step 3 | Choose Your Props / Accessories

Now that you’ve got the background and props ready to go, it’s time to add some accessories. Because each product has a different look and feel, use these accessories in different ways to create an overall look for your photography—or just have fun with it!

For example: If you’re shooting a white background with Tile Backdrops on sunglasses (like below), try adding something else like flowers or abstract shapes in between each pair of frames. Or if you’re using natural materials like wood or stone as part of your backdrop, try using them as props by putting them behind other items like books or plants.

BONUS STEP – How to Build a DIY White Background for Product Photography

You can build a DIY white backdrop in less than an hour. All you need is four pieces of plywood and some tape.

Tools Needed:

  • 2 pieces of 1/2 inch plywood (one for the front, one for the back)
  • Tape or painter’s tape (preferably painter’s tape)

Hopefully, you’ve gained some insight and ideas for shooting on a white background. I’d love to hear about your experiences, so please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Now that you’ve got the basics down, let’s look at some of the best ways to shoot on a white background.

If you don’t have a white backdrop, use something else! You can use any color or texture that contrasts with your product and make it look more interesting. For example: if you have an elegant piece of jewelry with flowers on it, try using a dirty mat or patterned carpet (especially if it’s black). The effect will be unique and striking!

A good starting point would be finding one big wall in your house where there are no windows nearby—this way we won’t see any light coming from outside which makes our photos look even more dramatic than they already do otherwise (trust me!). If possible try hanging up some lights alongside this wall so they’ll provide enough illumination while still making sure everything looks natural enough not to feel like artificial backdrops.”

Conclusion

So, there you have it. Now that you know the basics of how to shoot on a white background, it’s time to get creative! You’ve just learned enough about lighting and location that you can decide what works best for your shoot. You might also want to add some props or accessories, like a tablecloth or flowers. As with any photography project, there are endless possibilities when it comes time to put all these pieces together so be sure not only do all three steps above come together but also make sure each step has an impact on the final image
